SUMMER 2010's HOTTEST TREND

SO YOU'VE PACKED AWAY YOUR BIKINIS AND TANKS AND HAVE STARTED TO BRING OUT THE CARDIGANS...YOU'RE BACK IN SCHOOL, OR SKIMMING THROUGH YOUR FAVORITE FASHION MAGAZINE'S FALL ISSUE...BUT SUMMER IS NOT OFFICIALLY OVER YET! END THIS SEASON WITH THIS PAST SUMMER'S BIGGEST TREND: THE ROMPER!

We understand many people feel that the ROMPER is only for a certain body type. We want to show you 3 different body types and how they work with this trend.

SUMMER 2010 WAS ALL ABOUT THE ROMPER. THEY'RE A CONVENIENT, GIRLY, STYLISH AND CLASSIC CHOICE FOR BEACH WEAR OR EVEN A NIGHT OUT. HERE IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS TREND BEFORE IT IS OUT OF SEASON. SAY FAREWELL TO SUMMER IN CONFIDENCE AND IN STYLE.

ASHLEY

Ashley is wearing a gifted form fitting strapless DENIM Romper by Derek Heart. The Denim is flattering to curves and can easily be transformed into a night time outfit. Worn with tan stilloes, the otherwise simple outfit becomes stylish. A gold necklace, bangle and studs complete the look, bringing out the accented gold buttons on the front of the Romper.

TAS

Tas is wearing a comfortable more relaxed-fitting, strapless, printed, spandex/cotton Romper purchased in a NYC boutique. This style is very forgiving. Since it doesnt hug the body, those that wish to take attention off certain areas will be able to accomplish that in a Romper like this one, The prints make for a casual, youthful look. The Romper can however be dressed up with a pair of pumps. Bangles, a long necklace, studs and a fashion headband complete the look.

KIA

Kia is wearing a beige cotton romper with bow tie straps from Barefeetshoes.com. This sort of romper is meant to fit more loose than the denim romper Ashley is wearing but is not as lose in the mid section compared to the the printed one Tas is wearing. This otherwise plain outfit was dressed up with a sequin vest, making it very easy to transition into evening wear. Big bangles, chandelier earrings and black stilleto sandals complete the look.

MAKEUP: ALL 3 LADIES HAVE ON MAC MINERAL FINISHER, COASTAL SCENTS AND MAC EYESHADOW, MAYBELLINE EYESTUDIO GEL LINER, SEPHORA MASCARA, AND NEUTRAL TONED MAC AND VICRTORIA SCERET LIPSTICK AND GLOSS.
MAKE THE ROMPER WORK FOR YOU:

-BELTS ARE THE GO-TO ACCESSORY FOR COMPLETING ANY OUTFIT BUT WITH A ROMPER, A BELT AT THE WAIST MAKES YOU APPEAR SLIMMER.

-HEELS ELONGATE AND ACCENTUATE THE LEGS. SHORT OR TALL, IF YOU PAIR HEELS WITH A ROMPER IT WILL DO YOUR LEGS JUSTICE!

-VESTS GIVE VERTICAL LINES TO YOUR FIGURE AND INSTANTLY SLIM THE TOP HALF OF YOUR BODY.

-STAY AWAY FROM POCKETS, BUTTONS, OR RUFFLES ON ANY AREA YOU DONT WANT TO SEEM BIGGER.

WE HOPE YOU ALL HAVE HAD A CHARMING SUMMER AND ARE PREPARING FOR A FASHION FORWARD FALL! THANKS TO ALL OF OUR SUPPORTERS. STAY TUNED!

XOXO

Glam up Your Nautical Swimwear

Ladies for the past couple summer's it has been all about the patterns. Some people like to play it safe with solids because they may be afraid of patterns. This week our focus is on Nautical Stripes, and how women with different body types can wear one of this summers hottest trends.

Beauty tips: Horizontal Stripes can give a woman a very curvy illusion. Vertical stripes can slim you down. Horizontal stripes are a great way to flatter your natural curves. For women that are not interested in enhancement, aside from vertical stripes, adding a sarong around your hips can give you that extra coverage that sometimes we all may need. However if you comfortable in your suit, and feel beautiful, no sarong is necessary. Do not feel obligated to wear one just because you have curves.

Tas

Tas is wearing a Navy blue and white swim suit from Hot Miami Styles, Gold floral chain accessories from Forever 21, Blue feather earrings from a NY boutique, and a Gold Bangle from Forever21. On her face is eyeshadows from Coastal Scents creative Me #1 pallette and a silver glitter liner. Makeup is by Ashley. Photography is by Ashley.

Kia

Kia is wearing a black, white and gold striped swimsuit from H&M. Gold bangle accessories from an array of boutiques, and Gold hoop earrings from Macy's. She is wearing a brown smokey eye using matte shadows by MAC cosmetics, maybelline gel liner and a royal blue liquid liner by Jordana cosmetics. Make-up is by Ashley. Photography is by Tas.

Ashley

Ashley is wearing a navy blue, white, and yellow swimsuit by Nautica from Macy's, Silver watch by Guess?, necklace was gifted, bracelets are from H&M, and her Ring is from Hot Point Boutique. On her eyes are colors from Coastal Scents Creative Me #1 Pallette and a silver glitter liquid liner that can be found at any beauty supply store. Make-up is by Ashley. Photography is by Tas.

Affordable ways to achieve this look:

Buy a horizontal striped swimsuit at your local mall, Target, or Burlington coat factory (if there is one near you) Add stylish accessories to flatter the suit. These accessories can be found usually where you bought the swimsuit. (beware of wearing your expensive jewelry to the beach or pool, you do not want your valuable items to be lost or stolen.)
Using any of the makeup products above add a little color to you lids. Be sure to use a primer to ensure your color lasts as long as possible. If you choose to use a little mascara and eyeliner for a flirty look, be sure to choose water proof products. Instead of foundation which can be really cakey when combined with the perspiration produced by the heat, use a tinted moisturizer and a little concealer only if needed. If you want to be extra cautious, go with beauty products with an SPF of 15 to 75 for that needed protection against the suns harmful rays. Lip gloss, or any lip moisturizer will top it off and complete the look. For styling your hair for any beach or pool occasions, beachy waves are the go-to style that makes you look sexy, yet like you didnt try too hard. Be sure to use an anti humidity hair spray that can protect your hair from the moisture and humidity you will be surrounded by throughout the day. If you know you will be swimming, sporting your natural waves and curls will be your best bet. Ladies this can all be accomplished with 50 dollars or less depending on how you are budgeting.
