3 ways to dress up a simple White Tee

A woman's closet can be described as complex, versatile, and can even be compared to a maze. With all the effort we put into shopping, following trends, and maintaining our wardrobe, we ALL have those days where it seems like we have NOTHING to wear.

The Charmed Ones chose a staple clothing item in anyones wardrobe: a white tee shirt

& Here we show three different ways to dress up a white tee.

Ashley added star studded vest, jeggings, chandelier earrings, gladiator sandals and a large bangle to dress up her white t-shirt.

Tas uses pins to make her white t shirt fall off her shoulder, adds a thin leapord belt worn loosely aroung her waist, skinny jeans, black pumps, a floral head band, beaded necklace and 3 large bangles to complete her look.

Kia wears her white t shirt falling off both shoulders with a lilac colored cami underneath. She adds an animal print, high-waist skirt to dress it up with chandelier emerald earrings to add even more color to the outfit. Kia wears black leather open toe sandals to bring out the black print in the skirt. A black clutch bag, a beaded necklace, and a charmed watch complete her accessories.

MAKEUP TIPS: We chose to wear a subtle smokey eye, something as casual as a white tee, yet as glamorous as the items we chose to dress it up. We suggest any simple eye makeup for day time, and a pop of color for night.

Just be creative! Don't be afraid to make simple look fabulous...happy styling ladies!

KIA WOULD LIKE TO HONOR BAYARD RUSTIN




Bayard Rustin (March 17, 1912 – August 24, 1987) was an American civil rights activist, important largely behind the scenes in the civil rights movement of the 1960s and earlier.

Mr Rustin was my choice because of his work within the civil rights movement. He was a visionary strategist and activist who has been called “the unknown hero” of the civil rights movement. He is best known for his work with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and organizing the March on Washington. He was considered a political liability by some because he was an openly gay man. He ALSO became an advocate on behalf of gay and lesbian causes. Homosexuality was criminalized at the time, which compromised some of his effectiveness.

Bayard Rustin is a hero I was not made familiar with in grade school when learning about the Civil Rights Movement. Even today, his homosexuality is most likely the reason he is not often spoken of. I admire him because whether he was credited or not, his efforts were relentless. Mr Rustin was as much involved in the movement as Dr King, and even counseled him. He was not ashamed of who he was that kind of courage, especially during such a difficult time is something I admire greatly.

Oprah Winfrey is the most successful female talk show host in American TV history.
In 1986 she launched The Oprah Winfrey Show, a TV talk show which featured celebrity interviews and discussions of social issues. The show was a smash hit and within a decade she was one of the richest women in the United States.
I chose Oprah Winfrey because Although shes one of the wealthiest women in America and the highest paid entertainer in the world, she has made generous contributions to charitable organizations and institutions such as Morehouse College, the Harold Washington Library, The United Negro College Fund, and Tennessee State University.
Oprah is a very powerful and inspiring woman and that's why I admire her

AHLEY WOULD LIKE TO HONOR MAYA ANGELOU

I like Maya Angelou because she is an influential and multi-talented woman. She has overcame many struggles in her lifetime not even merely getting by, but by proving to be a force to wreckon with. She has mastered the art of many writing styles; my personal favorite talent of hers, and also amazingly mastered five different foreign languages. She is a dancer, a mother, a civil rights activist, a celebrated poet, memoirist, novelist, educator, dramatist, producer, actress, historian, filmmaker, and a leader to myself and many generations of young, hopeful black women.
